The 25th Annual Fremont Peak Star-B-Que is a happening event, Saturday, July 17, 2010.
DISTINGUISHED KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Mark Van Stone, author of "It's Not the End of the 
World - What the Ancient Maya Tell us about 2012", will give a presentation about the 
Mayan calendar and separate fact from fiction regarding the 2012 calendar end.
ASTRONOMICAL-GASTRONOMICAL CONTEST: Bring a dish having an astronomical theme and maybe 
you'll win a fabulous prize!.
RAFFLE! Sam Sweiss, of , will be conducting the raffle again. There will be two grand 
prizes this year - Vixen R130Sf 5.1 inch f/5.0 with Porta II package and an Orion 
StarSeeker 130mm 5.1 inch f/5.0 with GoTo. Many other fine prizes will be awarded by Scope 
City, Orion Telescopes, Vixen Optics, and other local vendors, plus a personalized, 
autographed copy of Dr. Van Stone's book.
TRIVIA CONTEST: The traditional Astronomical Trivia Contest will be held after we eat. And
