Subject: New Star Atlas
[I've had] years of activity in the planetarium field (director at
Buhl, DuPont, Spitz, etc.). I've also written for The Planetarian in
the past ("The Role of the Telescope in the Planetarium" being the
piece that drew the most attention). Additionally, I've served as an
editor at Sky & Telescope years ago.
I'm writing to let you know that the new, visually-stunning Cambridge
Double Star Atlas, co-authored by the famed celestial cartographer
Wil Tirion and myself, has just been released by Cambridge University
Press (see their web site for details).

There's not been anything like this since the original Norton's Star
Atlas in the early 1900's, which also designated double and multiple
stars on its maps. And like Norton's, it's an all-purpose atlas
showing many other kinds of prominent deep-sky wonders - all
color-coded by type.
All the best,
Jim Mullaney
