Hello All,
I'm pleased to announce that the Astronomical Society of the Pacific has just made public
their new ASP Board members.
One of which is our very own Doug Brown:
Doug Brown is President and Chairman of the Fremont Peak Observatory Association, which
built and operates an all-volunteer observatory providing interpretive programs to 2,000
students and other members of the public annually, and serves on the Board of Directors of
the Astronomical Association of Northern California, an association of amateur astronomy
organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Congratulations Doug!
Brian Day, one of the first members of FPOA, former SJAA Officer and now member of PAS
will be giving us his update on the LCROSS Mission that will impact the Moon October 9th ~
4:30 AM Pacific. Amateur astronomer participation is encouraged.
